It is characterised by a high <strong>resistance to solvents<\/strong>, <strong>acids<\/strong>, and <strong>bases<\/strong>. Fluoropolymers share the <strong>non-stick<\/strong> and <strong>low-friction<\/strong> properties of fluorocarbons. Thanks to the multiple carbon and fluorine bonds, they are mechanically characterized as thermoset or thermoplastic. They can be homopolymers (macromolecules formed by identical monomers) or copolymers (macromolecules formed by two or more different monomers).<\/p>\n<h2>Fluoropolymer properties<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Low surface energy<\/li>\n<li>Low coefficient of friction<\/li>\n<li>High resistance to chemical agents<\/li>\n<li>High abrasion resistance<\/li>\n<li>Stable over a wide temperature range: from -270 \u00b0C to 300 \u00b0C<\/li>\n<li>Low electrical conductivity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Examples of fluoropolymers<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>PVDF<\/strong>: it is a polyvinylidene fluoride, like Kynar or Hylar<\/li>\n<li><strong>PTFE<\/strong>: it is a polytetrafluoroethylene, the best known is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.praimer.com.br\/en\/teflon-coating\/\">Teflon<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>PCTFE<\/strong>: it is a polychlorotrifluoroethylene, like Neoflon<\/li>\n<li><strong>FEP<\/strong>: it is a fluorinated ethylene-propylene, like Teflon FEP<\/li>\n<li><strong>PFA, MFA<\/strong>: it is a perfluoroalkoxy polymer, like Hyflon<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div id=\"pg-2552-1\"  class=\"panel-grid panel-has-style\" ><div style=\"padding: 0px 0;
