Xylan \u00ae is the main coating brand at Whitford for their line of industrial coatings. It is a reinforced fluoropolymer with binder resins<\/strong>, providing low friction and optimal wear-resistance. Its range features all shorts of products depending on the requirements.

The properties of Xylan\u00ae coatings are achieved throughout the combination of organic polymers with dry film lubticants, obtaining plastic alloys with unique and super useful properties very versatile when used in extreme industrial environments. Its application can be either conventional or multi-layer.<\/p>\n

The most remarkable properties are:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

  • Low friction coefficient. CoF of 0.02<\/li>\n
  • Wear resistance under pressure.<\/li>\n
  • Chemical and corrosion resistance in most environments.<\/li>\n
  • Weather resistance. Sun light, saline water and chemical products.<\/li>\n
  • Ability to work under wide range of temperatures. Between -250\u00baC and 285\u00baC (-420\u00b0F and 550\u00b0F).<\/li>\n
  • Flexible curing program.<\/li>\n
  • Codification with a great range of colors.<\/li>\n
  • High flexibility. It can be bent.<\/li>\n
  • Good machinability: it can be milled.<\/li>\n
  • Optimal adhesion to most materials such as metals, plastics, ceramic or wood.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

    The target for a Xylan\u00ae coating would be to reduce the friction, improve the wear resistance and adherence. Amongst many of the sectors when this is applied, we can highlight:<\/p>\n

      Thanks to their fluoropolymers with PTFE<\/strong>, PFA<\/strong> and FEP<\/strong> it is ideal for applications metal on metal, offering great corrosion protection.
